New Waiheke online Art Map

Summers here!

Haven’t done a post for a while, it’s been a busy 2024. Here’s a quick one, the studio on Aotea is progressing well and have started mapping the tracks and will document and illustrate the trees along the way…. opening the new doors through the mulberry tree!

Still a way to go in Oneroa, but we’ll get there!

Great new exhibitions on all through summer at the Waiheke Community Art Gallery as well, come on over!

New Exhibtions!

Check out ‘Heading Home- The Navigator’ a limited edition digital print on archival paper. I hear it mentioned that it should have been hung landscape format but….. no it’s the right way up.. or down…. The image is captured from approx. 2,500 ft looking straight down at the Navigator, the ferry that services the island.

This is part of a new body of work exploring the journey to and from Aotea Great Barrier Island.

Winter is coming…

Starting to get colder, time for quiet creativity. The studio is coming along amongst all the other busyness!

I can actually see the floor now!

There are new exhibitions up at the Waiheke Community Art Gallery and Anomalous and around the motu now the seasons beckon more indoor activities and contemplation.

As always check out the Waiheke Art Map and check out what everyone is up to – have a great Autumn everyone!

New Waiheke astrophotography postcards available here and at the Waiheke Community Art Gallery – watch this space!

Oneroa Beach - Matariki, Taumata - kuku, Puanga, Tautoro

New website on it’s way!

Time for this old website to get a shoosh up and an online shop, so watch this space!

Summers nearly here as is the Waiheke Art Map 2024 (being printed as I write!)

Kings Birthday Weekend!

Well, how many Queens Birthday long weekends have been spent at the old studio celebrating the Waiheke Winter Arts Festival? – Many happy times!….now it’s the Kings Birthday Weekend..still a nice long weekend for everyone.

So as I write I’m wearing two hats, attending the RASNZ Conference https://www.rasnzconference.org.nz/ excellent! and on the breaks continuing to make improvements on the studio, primarily making room to get the piano down, lining the walls, getting the storage and lighting sorted ready for a celebration opening when its all finished! I’m open tho’ so feel free to pop in and see the progress!

Keep an eye on the Studio Facebook page for more frequent updates – see you soon!
